Music Being Stupid

Postby Hedfone » Sat Dec 23, 2006 4:04 pm

I have a play music option but whenever it doess, it goes all jittery.
can someone tell me how to fix this?
the event is like:

On timer 'music' (timer repeats for 1 time) -> Script editor: City.yvelocity+=1;
Play music 'Mad World - Garyjules.wav........'

but when it does, the first few seconds are fine, but the rest of it is all glitchy and nasty. does anyone know what I mean?

go to configuration/game properties and put the sound to the middle HZ
and put play music, not play sound.a and put ther music priority to low.
i hope that works for you :D

 maybe put it to a lower HZ (lowest) on config/game properties, and put the priority to low, or you could use whatever sound program and lower the quality. or in another circumstance you might need to change your sound settings on your computer :D but i do not know what 'Oggs Vorbis' format is. :? :D
Edit: or it could just be the music you have

I hate the lowest Hz though, it makes everythig sound like its underwater :( .
blech.
anyway, it's "Mad World" by Gary Jules, it's 3:09 long, (and an amazing song :P )
most of you will know it as the song from the Gears of War Commercial.

if anyone has any ideas then please let me know.

well
you should save it at maximum Hz quality, so then the other sound doesnt screw up.

in this 'game' this is the only sound.
i say 'game' because I'm really just making an opening cutscene for my real game in this file.
the cutscene consists of that song and a bunch of graphics and thats it :D
