Fonts

Postby linux_man007 » Thu Nov 27, 2003 2:42 am

Sorry-- I'm still having trouble making a font image.
Certain frames still get cut off on the right side(of the frames).
I've tried using 20 x 20 pixel frames with 2-pixel horizontal spacing in between each frame. Ive been using the example font "GameFont1.bmp" as a guide, but I'm still having the hardest time getting mine to work!

Could anybody help me with this? :?:

When you've worked it out can you write a font editing tool for the rest of us?

Can you send your current font file to me? (makslane@game-editor.com)

I wish I could, but I have a Wireless LAN card, which is currently incompatible with Linux(at least as of last year), since I am using the Linux version of Game Editor. I have been using a nice image editor in that OS, since I lack a good editor in Windows.
I should be able to use my old Ethernet LAN card, so I may hopefully be able to get it running within a week.

As for now, I really could use some good font-making pointers... :?

Ah, the beauty of The GIMP... anyway, have you tried using the font graphic included with the Moon Defender tutorial as a template? If you need more characters, just copy and paste the image to make it longer.
