GE doesn't "sleep" well

I've always had problems when my computer goes into sleep mode while running GE. In previous versions, as soon as the computer would wake up, GE would crash with an error message. Now, When I close and then open my laptop, GE simply doesn't do anything. If I click anything, the computer just beeps. If I hold alt+tab, GE doesn't appear on the list. I am running Windows XP Pro SP2.

Sorry to complain so fast, I really do love the new interface!!!!!! It looks very slick!
