Lcl, how in the world did you change the background of the GE splash screen. I know it had something to do with those bm files, but STILL! Whatever you did, this is something I gotta learn.
Overall, this is quite impressive. Are you going to add shortcut functionality? Like, have a shortcut to another program from the program file on the desktop? That may be impossible though, I don't think GE can open up third party exe files... Or can it???

By the way, do you have to put the files in the same folder as the exe to open it? Because when I clicked MyComputer it showed an empty window with text. Which files are compatible to open?

Actually I didn't mean to change the splashscreens background, but I made the wallpaper actor load the wallpaper when the program is started, and, for some reason GE loads it before the splashscreen. :D

I will not be able to add shortcuts, only thing I could do is to make the game open another GE game.

And those files, eh actually I haven't done the folder exploring system yet and that's why it showed empty window. You know this program is not going to read your computer and to be able to open files from it. What this will be able to is to create it's own files and folders and subfolders which can be saved and loaded again when you start it. :)

I just haven't got myself to start the coding of folder exploration system.

So it was a glitch? Shoot, I wanted to do that. T_T
But then, how did you load the background? If it's something real complicated then you don't have to bother explaining it. Anyway, It all looks good so far, looking forward to more updates. :)

Well, it's a glitch in a way because GE is not supposed to do it. I will fix it anyway, I think it's better without the wallpaper being shown under the splashscreen.. :D

Well, I can write you a PM and tell how to make that happen, it's actually just loading and drawing a bitmap file. I'm using my own bitmap file (bm) instead of the normal (bmp). I converted bmp to bm by a little application that I made, but the files contain mostly all the same information. But you won't need to convert bmp's to anything, just load the bmp. So, as I said, I can teach that to you. :D

That sounds awesome lcl, thank you. I will give you yet another point.

I think NOH meant that this will be superior to any other OS. But of course it will! It's already Awesome! And it's made with Ge!

Exactly, and I believe GE users like lcl can do it.

You know, you could use the code from web friend to add sub-folders. Remember the bookmark text? You can make it say something like this:
Code: Select all
desktop#folder1#folder2#folder3

You see what I mean? The "#" symbol would tell lclos that there is a sub-folder in that folder :D

Any updates
P.S. For my game since Jag is doing background do you want to shade in actors in game.
