Hmmm...

Postby Game A Gogo » Thu Jan 29, 2009 6:36 pm

Hmmmmm.... seriously, I can't stop thinking of that.
Anyways,
All of you are probably wondering what I am doing here, posting here.
(This is where the "Hmmmmm" part comes in for your information :P )
Well, I have more or less of clue myself to tell you the truth!
Before you all get your hopes up and running joy all over the place, no, I haven't really taken programming in consideration back. But yes, I am coming back to these forum.
But, I might do programing as a side hobby.
I just hope I won't get a hateful welcome :)

I wanna make this post relevant, so I might as well elaborate more and explain so stuff...
This is a new semester (For me at least), and I realized I actually miss this place, you guys and all. ;P
(I don't really know what to say, so bare with me please)
I'm pretty sure some of you are wondering what happened to me when I was gone!
(You might wanna skip this if you hate reading long stuff)

Well gather up around uncle Gogo and he will tell you the story of the... um, you figure out a title for me...
Anyways, since I went away from GE, yes, I indeed went more into electronic designing, and, on most part, failed miserably xD (I'm not giving up!), because I was trying too hard circuitry as a start. Then later on, with my 8inches sub-woofer air-tight speakers my brother had gave me, I was home alone, wanting to power those buster (They're crappy in the end line actually...) and make my house vibrate, I got the idea of the year! In my living room, there was this sound system, basically useless and lonesome, it wanted to make some speaker move (It was like 50watt sound system or something). That day during the summer, it's quest was fulfilled. In a matter of minutes, my speakers were moving reasonably and generating good enough loud music, it was pleasant. So then after some week, my brother decides to give me his two sweet 10 inches sub woofer that could handle 120watt max (240 if hooked together) instead of a 20watt from my older set. So I gladly set them on and love the sound, I then realize something. Those holes, those ports! What a great day that was: I decided to see what effect it would make if I removed the porting of those speakers, as for a test, I placed my pillows in front of those wide holes, the reason was outstanding. I could finally feel the bass thump into my chest! Gliding through the wind, I went into the garage and cut two pieces of wood and brought 4 screws. After a couple of minute, those holes were gone. And the bass was just simply overwhelming. Since that day, my quest was to obtain more and more bass, and subsequently achieve that magnificent quest. I noticed something about the bass, it was making a noise, almost close to a whistle but closer to the noise of air going through irrelevant congestionated patterns quickly. So I corked those small air holes around the speakers and the result, as outstanding as it was, was unbelievable, I had obtained pure bass. Now the only way I could get more bass, was a more powerful amplifier.
***
Not long before this Christmas, I noticed how my uncle's 5.1 surround sound receiver had changed, I have asked for his old one and joyfully obtained it! It was a nice 135watt'er. delivering around 70watt for the sub woofer channel. And for Christmas, I had received a marvelous 250watt 5.1 surround sound receiver capable of delivering outstanding 150watt for the bass channel! Ever since, when I am home alone, I am blasting my sound and making it hear-able 1-2 blocks away (Where I live that is like 4-6 blocks in a normal town). The bass is incredible and I obtain close to 110dB of volume (After 90, it will start damaging your ear for extended periods). I know my right ear is a little "broken", but I don't care if I will ever get deaf out of bass, I could still feel it.
... And that's about it for my "away story".
On side notes, yes, I still continued to try and make electronic circuits, not very successful.

You can start reading from here if you skipped the story (I have to get your attention one way or another)
So all in all, I've been blasting my music and trying to do an infrared burning laser (I just need a focus and it will be done!)

Anyhow, getting back on what this post is suppose to be for.
Yes, I am coming back to hang around the forum and will try to get back into programming as a side hobby, I know I have a lot to do to catch up with my 6 month of no programming :) although... I have had programmed a bit in Pascal...

So, on a closure, I say hello to you all, and hopefully everyone will be glad I am back :)

I've never heard of "skill degrading" in terms of programming. As far as I know, you can only get better.
