Graphics and sounds are really inportant if you want that the player tries the game for 2nd time.

I think that for me the most important is the Gameplay and the STORY.

if you would have the best graphic and everything awsome, BUT... the story line is just like 2sec. that game would suck!! so story is the best for me

Story line and game play I think are the most important. That's why I love games like Zelda becuase the story line is very closely intertwined with the game! But it has to be easy and fast to, say, move your guy around, shoot, pick stuff up, etc.

While story is good, and helps to make it more interesting, and graphics make it look awesome (if they are good, that is), If the gameplay is dodgey, no one will want to play it. You can have a good story and gameplay whith graphics that are just black-and-white lines and it is pretty good. Some types of games will seem a bit random and won't be that good without a story, but others that hardly have any story at all are AWESOME games. Things like side-scrolling platforms don't need much of a story, but things like RPGs need at least a somewhat sensible story, and some, like racing games would just be stupid to have a story (Except adventure racing games, and even then the story dosn't mean much). You can have an awesome and involving story and the sweetest graphics, but when you play, in the help menu it says 'press enter to finish the level', why not just watch a movie? I would go on some more, but I would probably only be repeating the jist of what i've already said.

Ninjas.

Hmm. That's probably not that helpful. I'll try to expand.

I agree with DilloDude - in the end, it really comes down to playability - how much fun it is to play if it's a repetitive puzzle game like Tetris; how involved I become in the story in an rpg, or how desperately I want to advance and explore in a game like Grand Theft Auto. My expectations differ from genre to genre. While i dont think the graphics make a game, I think in this day and age, there's no excuse for shoddy artwork. Ditto for sound.
