on gp2x dots and lines of background color showing through

Postby pixelpoop » Fri Jul 27, 2007 4:09 pm

Is anyone else having a problem with exported files to the GP2X? I have sprites moving over other sprites and leaving patches of the background color showing through? I have made a simple demo that shows this. I tested it and it doesn't do it on my PocketPC, just the GP2X.

Move the leaf around in circles with the joystick a little bit and you will see dots and lines of the background color appear.

I'm not sure if it's been officially addressed or not, but I experienced these same bits of artifacting around my moving actors as well on the GP2X...

I reported it a couple weeks ago. It's a major issue with my game, where everything is animating over a background and leaving garbage.

I sure hope Makslane can get it stomped soon. Whenever a sprite is drawn it leaves a trail of background colored garbage off the lower right corner of the sprite, even on top of actors that are layered above the sprite.

Doesn't do it on pc exports, but all sprites do it on the gp2x.

It even does it if your actor has its visibility state as:
VisibilityState("Event Actor", DONT_DRAW_ONLY);

I guess he got it working now. Here's a youtube of my game project running on my Gp2x

We gotta figure out how to get the Gp2x TV out to not cut off the right and bottom sides of the screen
