GE & Direct 2D

[Game A Gogo]

I'm sure some of you heard about Windows 7, and it's great new feature. The Direct 2D!
I was wondering if GE will be able to use this feature in the future, any hopes? Or maybe I'm just stupid and Direct 2D directly works with everything 2D.

Game Editor uses the 2D features of the Direct X library in the Windows version.

I wish that GE used openGL instead. Its much more common in console machines and non windows computers. It would allow for a wider variety of platforms.

There are code for OpenGL too, but need more work.
Search for opengl:test ion the code.
