How do I go back to old OS on my itouch?

I made the mistake of updating itunes and updating to 5.0.1 on my itouch. Now I cant get xcode to build on it. I need to go back to 4.3 but when I go to restore on itunes it does not let me go back. Any one else have this problem?

I just pm'd you, but since this is kind of a separate question, here's a different answer. I don't think there is a normal way of doing it, since itunes doesn't let you. But, I've never needed to try. I searched revert ios 5 to 4.3.

only if youve jailbroken on 4.3 before can you downgrade to it

How do I do that? I tried the TinyUmbrella and the PwnageTool to downgrade but still does not let me. I am kind of out of all the option I know of.

well when you were jailbroken on 4.3.3, cydia should have saved your shsh blobs so you will be able to downgrade, but if you have never jailbroken on 4.3.3 before, your pretty much not going to be able to downgrade. sorry
