I included Mac and Linux versions. (If they don't work, there's not much I can do about it.)

I'll try compressing it on my old computer. (I think Windows 7 does a sloppy job with zip folders.)
If that doesn't work, I'll try winzip.

Btw, Does anyone know of a good open source winzip-like program?

No need to apologize.

What I use for compressing files is winRAR. Though the name is rar, you can also do zip files with it very easily. Just click the folder with right mouse button and select "Add to archive..." and then select zip instead of rar. you have to install it first, of course.
