Project Spyrographs!

Postby pyrometal » Mon Dec 03, 2007 4:17 pm

Hello everyone! You may not have known it but I have been a ghost in this community for some time now... Anyway, I wanted to share this weekend long project I made. It generates spyrographs, for those of you who know what that is. All of this was made by myself with only GE and MS Paint. For those those of you who think MS Paint sucks, please reconsider. All the graphics here are made in MS paint and barely took me 20-25 min total to make all of them. Maybe I should make an MS paint tutorial next?? Answer the Poll! Anyway, hope this may be useful to you in some projects for which you need these types of graphics!

I'm glad you guys are enjoying this, I'll be posting the .ged and graphic files later today (exam coming up, 3 hours, ... I'm a university student).

lol, actually, I made that in Macromedia Flash 8... It still doesn't disprove MS Paint's greatness.

Well... I really don't fancy sending source files like this... I kinda fear getting ripped off by some random person... But I trust you guys won't so here it is, take a look at how its done (mind you, my code has no comments and is spread into all the actors, it's mind boggling if you aren't the creator) I should devellop better scripting methods in my next projects. Anyway, have a good one!

Thanks alot for all the positive comments guys, kinda feels making random stuff worth the time. Anyway, I could upload at least 15 unfinished game stubs which I have made over time but I choose not to spam the forum. Right now I'm working on sprites for my potential new game, which will be a while before it is anywhere close to finished (It will be really cool, you'll see, my character is already has personality). I posted the first frame of the sprite sheet below, which already has 22 frames and continues growing.
