Help anyone?

Hey, I have a question, I've tried many things, such as different Desktop Envornments, but no matter what I cant seem to get GE to run on linux, Sometimes when I install a linux, GE will work, but if I take the same disk and RE install linux (from fresh install) sometimes it for some reason wont let GE work... Then I have to re-install it again and then GE will work. Right now this isn't my linux and GE isnt even working on it, so can anyone help me out? (Ubuntu 9.10)

Must works if you open terminal windows and type (on the game editor folder):
./gameEditor

Hey mak, update It says "./gameEditor: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
