GE will bit be able to summit iphone app any more

So now they want iPhone5 support. If summit a iphone app you made with GE you will get this

We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for "App Name". To process your delivery, the following issues must be corrected:

iPhone 5 Optimization Requirement - Your binary is not optimized for iPhone 5. As of May 1, all new iPhone apps and app updates submitted must support the 4-inch display on iPhone 5. All apps must include a launch image with the -568h size modifier immediately following the <basename> portion of the launch image's filename. Launch images must be PNG files and located at the top-level of your bundle, or provided within each .lproj folder if you localize your launch images. Learn more about iPhone 5 support and app launch images by reviewing the iOS Human Interface Guidelines and iOS App Programming Guide.

I hope someone has a solution for this or we are all out of the apple store.

This news is really sad for us, i hope gE developers will react as quickly as possible.

If they don't, like you said, it will be the end for iOS gE developers...

Anyway it's definitly a real bad news for us...

I will always have a special place in my heart for GE, as It was my introductory to game design and programming, but if we cannot create iOS apps and put them on the AppStore, I hate to say it, but its time to move on.. I really hope Makslane or Akr have some good news for us soon. I don't want to stop using GE.

akr is the one behind all things iOS. I've contacted him about it, so hopefully he'll be able to fix the situation.

I've contacted him about it, and apparently it has to do with geapp using SDL 1.3, instead of 2.0. If he isn't working on it, I'll try my hand at it in two weeks.

akr is not working on fixing this. He has however told me the general steps that should fix it, so I'm trying to get that done. It may take a bit of time however, since I don't have much experience in this field.

I started on it, but haven't gotten anything working as of yet. I can't really say how long it'll take.

I dont know how hard it will be but maybe you could just make it lets us use the new screen format. I have no idea how it all works but if its just a matter of changing the resolution size then that would put GE back on track as a iphone 5 development software. But I will be happy just to be able to update my apps again.

I've been busy with work and have been on vacation the past week so I haven't made any progress. I'll be back soon, and now have a device to actually test with. Still no guarantees as to when I can get it working though.
