Icons

Postby OmniArts » Wed Oct 21, 2009 8:38 pm

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can give me some info on using icons for compiling the game.
I know it has to be .ico but what size does it have to be.. and does GE automatically create the smaller icons?

No. Game Editor just inserts the icon into executable file.
Game Editor is an open source game creator software that's wants to pay it's developers to keep evolving.

Well ive followed the instructions here...

http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile/arc ... ation.aspx

And I've inserted all the images into one icon .ico file.

They are still not showing on PPC... If anyone has any information and has managed to accomplish this.. please let me know. My game is ready and waiting to be released :)

if you are using a software that outputs a multi-res icon then don't. They don't work on most things.
It's easier to be clever than it is to be kind.
