Hey all,
Since this is a public poll, I'll throw my 2cents in:
Although my primary OS is Windows XP, I use and love Linux...especially in LiveCD form: Austrumi, Knoppix and Slax (Kill Bill Edition).
I often install them to my hard drive and use a multi-boot config.
I don't know all the reasons why I like Linux so much, I just do.
I would totally migrate to Linux if all the Windows programs I use and enjoy would operate in that environment, but they don't.

But if that day ever comes.....hmmmm.

I like Apple as well. I wish that the best of Windows AND Apple could be brought together in a 32 or 64 bit protected mode operating environment (Linux). At least we wouldn't have to worry about viruses and stuff, cuz programs could only operate with explicit permission!

I'm with you-I think every operating system has unique features that make each a wise choice, no matter which one you choose.

GNU/Linux is a good for code but for
CG it still sucks.

I think in the (near) future we can make
good games running on it.

APART from Linux! A lot of people here haven't even used Linux one little bit. So you cannot judge how many people use Linux, or any kind of Unix. The little document I made has an extremely small amount of Linux's features. Windows STARTED from Unix! Try getting Linux and make it fully crash. UNLIKELY!

If you dunno..

Postby kyensoftware » Tue Mar 13, 2007 9:18 am

If you dont no wat linux is then download puppy linux.
Google it. It's awsome
Only tried under QtEMU (no that's NOT a typo QtEMU)
Apparently, if you do the instal thing and install media player 11 under winXP it will erase puppy (and knoppix, ubuntu, debian and destroy SLAMPP files.).
