Is it possible to make fresh, new games without downloading and using other peoples game. How would u do it. If a person wants to be successful in making own game rather than editing others game and using it. thanks.

Do you want to use sprites and tiles that are freely available---like for example Legend of Zelda, Link and backgrounds and have those do what you want them to do---that is Link bounces off, explode, etc. enemy bosses that you put where you want them to go.

Or do you want to design your own sprites and tiles (background) and levels.

The answer is yes. But it helps to examine the work of the samples Game Editor gives you to see how other people did it.

To make your own sprites, you need something as simple as MSPaint or as complicated as ProMotion.

To do the tiles there's software called World Creator.

The coding is where I can't help you because I'm still figuring that out for myself--and there I'm learning by examining games people have already done--the demos.

Of course you can start completely new game. Just clic on 'new game'.
