Oh, and I have some other idea: Wouldn't it be nice if each forum had its individual logo/icon?

That's a good idea, but they need to be 27x27 or the forum style need to be changed. And in addition, there should be two icons per forum, read and unread.

I don't think phpBB let me set a forum icon for each forum.

But you only "think" so? Well, I also host a PhpBB forum and I will look there if it is not possible.

EDIT: I haven't tested it, but it seems to be possible that way:
General->Quick Access->Manage Forums->edit [any forum]->Forum image
You just need to upload the icons before through ftp or something.
