Character animation; Easier way?

Postby Jokke » Wed Jan 09, 2008 4:33 pm

I'm just curious if theres any easier way of animating a character in GE.
Lets say I have one of those character sheets of an existing game character that displays all the ways the character can "pose", and I want to animate it...do i have to do it on my own frame-by-frame? or is there a program that animates for me?

Last time i tried to animate there were HUGE chunks of white in each frame although I erased everything around the character in the sheet. (obviously psp is not the way to go, huh?)

If anyone could direct me to a place where I can get my hands on already animated characters from famous games (like from snes) please tell me

Thank you in advance

I use PSP too. You need to understand some basics of animation in GE.
Each frame has the same size. Not the same space between. If the character is jumping, and is pulling up his hands until they go above his head, the space between the frames becomes smaller...

Orange Breedband Nederland
means
Orange broadband Holland
Holland=!Indonesian, I think...

I too perfectly cleaned everything around my buildings, yet they show white lines around them.

And, a friend of mine might have "a program that animates for me"
I'll try contacting him soon (most probably thats on monday at school :roll:)
