Pool for GE

Postby DST » Wed Feb 25, 2009 4:28 am

Pool game made in Ge, project was scrapped because teaching a computer to play pool is exceedingly difficult;
but as 1/2 player practice, it works fine.

any ideas, anyone, on how to teach a computer to pick complex shots? avoid some balls (like the other player's or the 8 ball) and consider that in shooting....very difficult. I'm pretty good at pool myself, but ....teaching a computer....i'm at a loss...

As with FunlandGolf, its a good reminder that the canvas actor is extremely useful in certain situations; Everyone should consider using the canvas more often.

:P :P :P

Am I just an idiot or why can't I get the ball to move? I set the direction, click, hold the mouse button down, let it go, nothing happens.
(I haven't been looking at the script too carefully now.)
EDIT: Oh wait a minute now... lol, I've "figured" it out. Cool. Nice collisions, though you can occasionally observe a ball go through another... but I guess that's almost unavoidable. Nice using canvas, also.
