wrong animation

Postby frodo » Sun May 07, 2006 3:17 am

I have an animation of a man walking, and an orc walking. I add an animation for the man walking, and it works fine untill I load the game another time. The man doesn't have the animation of a man, but of the orc. so in other words, GE gets mixed up between a man and an orc. can some one help?

I found that if you assign a name to an animation, save the files, then attempt to change the animation, while re-using that same name, it doesnt update. Maybe you are experiencing something similar?

I was having the problem that TFP mentions when picking the new animation image (with same name) from outside the data folder, it doesn't appear to update the image in the data folder.

The answer for me was to actually change the image in the data folder and then select it from there when editing the animation.

my orc is called walking east, and my man is called walking east, and instead of the man it is the orc. I would just change the name of one of them, but they are multiple files.

I edit the animation. then I save the game and exit GE. I come back later and open my game and it's on the orc again.

I'm afraid that you might need to rename one of them to cure this
