Smoke with one actor?

Smoke with one actor?

Hi guys/gals,

I want to implement smoke with one actor if possible. I have seen Gameagogo had an example but this was with 2 actors and I didn't really like it.

I tried doing something simple myself but it causes my game to totally freeze! :oops: :D

Any ideas?

You can either try a particle system with multiple actors or you can animate your single actor to make smoke appear.

there, a smoke sprite sheet... :) or if you want I can give you a code on how to do a simple particle in gE... 8)

However I think in the end I want a particle system. I do know this is more intensive on the CPU but I want a realistic effect for smoke.

I used your animation for the moment... doesn't look like what I wanted though. I think in the end I will use a particle system.

Oh if only GE had an easy way to do this! :(

Any chance you have a bigger version of this graphic?

Maybe 3 or 4 times larger would be good! :)
