where to find objects to put in game

I'm teaching a class in game design this summer. But because of time havent researched where to find objects , Backgrounds . png files ... Can anyone help???

If you need something specific, there are a number of forum residents that are skilled in drawing, andit might be possible to barter a full copy of GE for a sprite set. I wouldnt give them the copy until they deliver the set, but its a great carrot.
