wouldn't another way around be to download the game twice then once the trial of the first game has ended move the save files to the other game then just continue playing?
but i think away to stop this would be to reset all the variables to zero or what ever the initial variable should be?

There is always another way around. If one is determined, he will find a way.
It might be easiest to release a single level demo block access to the other content perhaps?

This may not be possible but Make a timer going up to 3 days and it could make a sav every second until it becomes invalid. I'm sorry I can't upload a ged :(

My guess would be to make a custom installer that installs another background process that constantly updates since the game was installed, and after 3 days is up it saves a hidden or renamed text file that triggers a variable using FILE* with game-editor when you launch your game, and if that variable is triggered, show error.
