Need help with music.

I want to make some sort of old, Genis style music, but I havn't ever done that style of music and I don't know where to begin. If one of you guys could give me some tutorials or anything that would give me a place to start, I would really be happy

First of all, it helps to know what software you have at the moment.
I have heard of (but never used) a nifty little editor called GXSCC that lets you create pure 8 or 16-bit audio. Im pretty sure it's more used to 8-bit though.
If you want to go a bit more technical about it, then try Logic Pro for Mac OS, and use the Bitcrusher plugin (that is if you have it), the PWM Start synth on ES2 and the Sync Start synth on ES2.

Or, you could just get me to do it. I am writing a varied soundtrack for the project I'm working on consisting of over 40 tracks, and wouldn't mind making another

The editor that I am currently using is LMMS (just so you know)
I would appreciate it if you could write some sort of soundtrack for me but, I don't need a full and complete one. Just a tune or some notes on a paper to get me started. I can handle it from there.

You should totally try musagi, its a open source 8 bit (or more) music maker that come complete with some samples that you can edit!!!!
