All you did was add a triangle that alters color... cool... lolz.

I did NOT add a triangle that alter the color.
These triangles appeared when I converted the ico files to png.

Mr J, don't think about a new icon as replacing the old one; think of one that would go well alongside the old one and you'll have better designs. (even if the plan is to replace the old one).

Make something that plays off the existing things, like this:

File>Export>windows executable.
