Can you zoom in and out?

Postby Sayato » Fri Dec 26, 2014 5:06 pm

Can you zoom in and out? I'm looking for 2-d zooming and scaling possibilities.

Please tell me that it's possible. However, If it's not, this is a good time to tell me. It's better to tell me something's not possible when I'm starting this game.

Sephiroth's strength is unreal. He is far stronger in reality then any story you might have heard about him.

unfortunately there is no native solution
however you could make bigger sprites for the zoom mode (check attach), but a fluent zooming effect would be too much work i guess..

With clever use of a canvas actor and the draw_from -function, it is possible to create a zoom effect. It can be a little complicated, but is possible anyway.

You could use my scaling demo for implementing a zoom: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10570

Actually, just wait a bit and Zooming should become native! Skydereign's been working on 1.5 for a while, and it should have some Rotation and Zoom features, I believe.

That's very cool. I have 2 questions, though:
-------------------------------------------------------------
1. Is his E-mail Skydereign@game-editor.com?
2. 1.5 is the version to ask him for, right?

Nobody is working on 1.5 at the moment. What Sky is working on is 1.4.1.

No that's not my game-editor email. If you want to message me I respond to private messages pretty quickly.

No 1.4.1 is the one that will have full zoom and will be released pretty soon.

Well, I happen to have a problem grasping the concept of zooming in and out.

O.K.?!?!?

I'm a failure this time!

FORGIVE ME!!!

Could you please edit this for me? I'm thinking that a fluid real-time zoom in and out is possible on this project. I hope I'm not talking about an impossibility. Can someone edit this to zoom in when you press some key and then out when you press another? I am looking for it to be like an animation. If this is possible, please keep track of what you did so I can learn, please.

Scaling without draw_from and rotation is possible even now.
Check out my project, thank you.
