how does this become animation

How does this become an animtion, i am trying to add my own but GE keeps crashing , was told not to use gif , but what else is there?
( i'm not a graphics man)

but i worked out to convert to png and got it working and no crashes :!: :!:

if i loaded a gif into the game editor
it would shut down after about a min
but with a png file that i used it works fine

well it might work if u save it as a bmp file (paint saves as a bmp)

BMP is not recommended to use, as the final exe file will come out relatively big. PNG are better to be used.

Windows Vista is a type of computer, the one my dad has you saw when you stayed the night :D

And I usually save mine as PNG or JPEG and save it as GIF if you have a GIF animator, didn't I post something like this before? :D

It's true that PNG can normally be a lot smaller than BMP (plus have transparency) but I didn't think it mattered in GE because it converts it to its own internal format when you export. I may be mistaken, though.

I believe that GE will transform into its own format, but will use the same compression method as the original file. Since BMP are not compressed most of the time, GE will just save its raw data. Although, I am not sure about this, so forgive me if I am wrong.
