Programmer needed for pocket pc program in GE. Will pay!

Postby dan208 » Tue Aug 14, 2007 3:15 pm

I am in great need of someone that can program a program for the pocket pc. I have all the graphics made already. The program isn't a game(unfortunately:) but is something that should be fairly easy to program in Game Editor. The program is an eBay and Paypal Fee calculator that can be used on a pocket pc/any os that game editor can work in. So I would need someone to program in all the formulas, and have it display the proper fees based on the users feedback. Also there would be checkboxes, radiobuttons, forms, etc. that need to respond to the users input.

I need someone to do this, and this is a paying job. Serious inquiries only please! I would need this done at no later than the end of the month(hopefully sooner), but am willing to work on the deadline. The payment would be handled through escrow.com, and i will pay the fees($25). This is to protect us both. Please post here or PM me with the following info: portfolio(completed games), your programming abilities, resume(optional), and your fee to do the job. I'd prefer people over 18 please, and if you don't have sufficient proof of your skills please do not post.

Thanks for your time. I have great admiration for the skills and abilities on this board, and look forward to working with you.

Right now (10/14/2009) I'm working on some C++ projects, but I might be able to help if you have some Game Editor questions. :)

I think he's an IDEA man, full of good ideas for stuff that will make money (like this) but without the programming skills required to bring them to fruition. I personally think it's a good idea.

I am willing to work on this, I just want to have more time on my hands, I have 4 projects on Hold:
Schedule Maker, Code Generator(for people who don't know how to make AI and Complex player Movements ect.), and Sky Master and DeepSea Labyrinth.
I decided to work on just one right now:
xStrategy Combat

Thanks for the replies guys.

D-Soldier, you are exactly right on. I want to do this, because I come up with ideas and websites, and anything I can't do I contract out to people that can do it. I am okay with graphics, but I am not good at programming. My programming is limited to html, css, and pretty basic php stuff. I do have a ton of ideas, but not enough time to sit down and learn a new programming language. I always say, If you can't do something at expert quality, than get an expert to do it.

Sgt. Sparky - You seem to do some excellent work, and have a nice portfolio of games. Its too bad you have lots of projects and not enough time. Ha, I know the feeling. Still if you are interested, let me know how much you would charge to make it a priority(pm me).

The reason I want this done with game-editor is because it is just an excellent cross platform program across many different pdas, smartphones, linux, etc. I haven't made any programs with it, but I have played some of the games, and I did the graphics for a dice game made in ge (it's called dice shooter, check it out at Foomie.com . I'd have my bro do it(he's done several programs in game-editor), but he's too busy with a full time job, and declined to do it for me because of time constraints.

Anyway, thanks for the responses.
