It was deleting files witout us knowing so we ran a virus scan and magix music maker was where the virus was downloaded from! DO NOT GET IT!!!!! It would have reached a point of total permatate shutdown on my computer in afew days if we hadnt got rid of it. So kall, did this happen to you :?:

HUH???
that's weird...
never happened to me, the software in itself is a little buggy, yeah, but no virusses.
could you please post a link to the toxic file?
I'll check it out (don't worry, F-secure will eliminate the virus if it ever gets on my computer =D )
well, RB, I'm sorry to hear that, try and email the magix guys and tell 'em!

modplug tracker is awesome! But it's a bugger to figure out. You need to read a tutorial.

http://www.roncli.com/modplug/download.asp?FileID=8

Download that, it will install 1.6 of mod tracker and it contains a documenet called TUTORIAL.DOC. It helps you create your own song!

The only trick is getting the file gm.dls, which it claims you can get by executing some executable that will download it for you. It doesn't work. I found GM.DLS in the window/system32 directory and just copied it from there to the modplug directory. I made a cool song in under 30 minutes with this tutorial, it was awesome.

I am also still anxiously awaiting Mojo's sound making tutorial.

you are suppose to be able to access the GM.DLL file trough the upper navigator on the left, and you should also be able to access the midi library

it is not gm.dll it is clearly gm.dls, and your right, in the tutorial it says you have to add it to the library using the file->add feature.

Sorry for my little mistake.
But also, I have to keep in mind that I am using a better version on Modplug Tracker, called OpentMPT.

Any of you ever tried Tiny Piano I have the download right here (not a virus, thank god). It is an awsome little MIDI sound player with the only problem being too many instruments (about a hundred or so).
