Moving from GE to AS3 : My First Official Online Flash Game

Postby monsterbrain » Tue May 28, 2013 12:59 am

Hi guys,

I've been moving towards AS3 (Actionscript 3.0, commonly used for making Online Games & Apps) quite recently, partly because its part of my Job, as well as people are more interested in online games than downloadable games (in case of small games, i think). Although i greatly miss the what-you-see-is-what-you-get power of GE, lot of things can be done in As3 pretty quickly using frameworks available (eg. Flixel, which i used for this game). I believe same stuffs can be done in GE, but it all depends on the way you use it, i believe.

Here's the link to my Game : " FIGHT Zone" - http://www.kongregate.com/games/monsterkillu/fight-zone

I would like to thank GE creators for their wonderful program. I would like to thank all the GE supporters, criticizers who's suggestions & tips improved my understanding. I've learned a lot from using GE. It has been a stepping stone to something higher(i guess).

Thanks once Again - Monster Brain

Wish you luck in this, and I hope if GE ever gets some online capabilities, you can reconsider making some games on it again. Stay on the forums though. :D
