Spot it! ( spot the difference game )

Talk about making games.

Spot it! ( spot the difference game )

Postby Kcee » Tue Jul 10, 2018 5:43 am

So, after I was challenged to make this game and everyone seemingly gave up on the challenge, I still carried on anyway. This led me to creating this game I call "Spot it!".
Download and feedback will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Well done. Funny game and interesting design and approach.

Some notes to improve:
·Take the size of the differences into account. (Spoiler alert!) I attempted to click the cloud on the tutorial as a difference but I failed to click it on the right spot to be marked and the fails counted. I Guess it's a problem with the area that is clickable or perhabs a bug with the click events.
·See image below. I find it a bad design to cover the text the user is supposed to read. So you could move the button to show the next text above it to avoid having to move the cursor to read.

Kongrats!, you have my vote for the winner of the contest.

Thanks, but I'm not sure there's gonna be a winner until lcl approves. About the size of differences, I used a filled region actor and resized it to be bigger than the difference to prevent clicking problems. Also I made clicking the wrong spot a penalty on purpose (makes the game more difficult).

Oh, and about the moving cursor to read problem. I'll work on it soon, but right now, I've got my mind set on completing "Super Stick Brawl".
Thanks again.
