What are sequences?

What is the point of sequences, and how are they different from regular animations?

Sequences are used when you are dealing with sprite sheets. Instead of having to have 15 animations for a character (meaning 15 different files) you can just use 1 sprite sheet. Other than that, and that you can update which frames the animation plays in the editor, they operate in the same ways other animations work. Though sequences have a bug that prevents them from being a viable option in some cases in gE 1.4. Namely clones using sequences will mess up their animations fps.
