Installing dat on Iphone

I'm not too sure how to get a dat file on an Iphone and have it run as an executable. Can somebody help me out please?

Do you have geplayer on your iphone? Unless you are an iphone developer, you have to have bought the geplayer from the itunes store. Then you run geplayer, and ftp the file to your device(the port and ip specified by the geplayer).

Thanks skydereign, I don't actually own an Iphone, (But it's on my wishlist.) a friend owns one and I thought I'd try and install some GE games on it. So it's off to the app store to get the ge player.
Oh, just one more thing (I sound like Columbo???), can games only be downloaded from the appstore or can the download be pointed to my own domain url ?

If you are using the appstore, they have to be downloaded from the store. The store can have a link to your site, as well as a lot of games have links in them to visit their sites.
