Very strange bug (?)

Postby sonicfire » Sat Jun 30, 2007 11:43 pm

Hi again,

i´m not sure if it´s my fault, but i experienced this now the second time:
That objects are still shown in the editor itself after exiting the game (and some are still animated! )

I have made a video-capture of it, because it´s hard to describe.
It´s attached to this post! :)

Am i the only one that discovered this things? I´m on V1.3.8 here. Thanks!

This has been addressed before... infact, it happens to me almost every day. It does not seem to disrupt the editing process though, so I reccomend ignoring it.

This happens because GE emulates the game inside the exe, which also explains why he used that kind of developing method, so you don't need to export the game to edit it, its a plus for big games.

Can someone post a game with this bug?

I have, I made this demo a long time ago, but the bug is in it. you just need to create bomb and then press space or explode, then press esc, you should see smoke particle moving.

Thanks, but I can't see the bug. Are you using the 1.3.8 version?

I have found that this bug happens randomly, and only when you quite the game [esc] when something is moving/happening. For instance, in INCURSION, if i were shooting, and pressed esc, then the brass shells which eject from the guns would still continue to move and fade out while in GE... Not every time though.
