Alright, just been messing with my engine and feral's engine optimizing both but my brothers computer is so ancient it's still slow

Just a couple more paychecks and i can afford a decent computer one that can at least run what i'm programming.

Yeah, I know how that can be. I was using an old compaq running winXP while my laptop was down, and that was mind-numbingly slow. It was actually way faster after I partitioned ubuntu onto the 10 gb that were left on the hdd (I cleaned of a few more gigs on the windows side so it wouldn't flip out). On another note, are you still planning on working on that map engine for the steam run project?

yeah his computer is also very slow due to it running win vista ultimate when it should run basic.. i have an engine that can build maps currently and im willing to change it to meet the needs of the project i've just been focusing on making a easy to use interface.

Its a really large project and I have many different systems/mechanics to do before I show it off.

I'm here too. I visit the forum a few times a day, and usually read all new posts.
It would be nice to get some more activity there, and, since it seems that there is quite many of us, who just
keep reading the new posts, I think the change on the forum activity should start from us.
Why not leave some comments every time we come to visit the forum?

And well, this summer I've not been working on GE projects as much as I intended to.
I thought I'd have much free time because I now live alone, but... Who would have guessed
that it gets so boring to just be alone at your own apartment? I'm basically running from one friend's house to
another one's just for avoiding the boredom of being alone.. That doesn't leave all that much time for GE

But I still have projects I've been working on, Sabre being the most important of course.
Then I have Shopler, but with it there has not been any progress within a few weeks.

But I've been doing a lot of other things. =)
I've started a new band with my friends, and I'm very excited about it.
For the past few days, my friend was visiting me, and we started the recordings of one of our songs.
He has to come visit me again so we can complete the recordings, though.

I hope you all have had a nice summer so far, and I wish it will continue to be nice!

The last time i directly initiated change here we created the first forum project and forum project sections. Which has turned into an ambitious project i know we have our own lives for me that's working 6 days a week but i've been making the time to come here everyday and work on the mapping engine even if thats forcing myself to sit there and fix at least one bug a day. The bordem sets in and is a problem for me as well i wish the forum wasn't as dead im here almost everyday after 5pm and all day sunday.

Yeah me too. I seem to get distracted easily. I'm almost glad a lot of my stupid "wip" stuff got flushed when my hard drive went bizzerk. I have a lot less to divert my attention now.
