Can you clear up some confusion?

I have a few questions.
What programming language is used in game editor?
If game editor is open source, then why do i get a demo that tells me to buy it? It's self-contradictory.
What are all the possible platforms this can export games to?

In GE you use C, but with some added features.
Platforms: (Ihope this are all)
Windows, Linux, GP2X, Windows Mobile based Smartphones, maybe soon IPhone.
