Bombs Away (In-dev)

Postby DeltaLeeds » Sat Jan 18, 2014 2:14 pm

Finally! After 4 years of being in gE and not producing anything, I've finally completed a game. I've worked for this game for about 2 months (Since November.) And of course this is just a beta stage, so there will be plenty of improvement as time goes by.
Screenshots: (This is still what it looks like in the beta stage. Will be greatly improvised by Wertyboy. (Others may help if they want. :) )

I'd LOVE some feedback. Maybe stating some bugs, but before some requests, take a look at this first:
What to do: Improve GUI, Background, improve the way to insert bombs in the cannon, make an in-game tutorial, fix some bugs which I will post in viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13140 if I can't fix them alone, change sprites, making hard difficulty easier depending on the poll. (Hard may look crazy, as seen in the gameplay screenshot, but if you score high, endless combos, you can even pwn them.)
Tips: Be sure to check the instructions before playing!
Thanks, and again, I'd love some feedback, and if I forgot anyone in the credits, I'll add them in the next update! :D
EDIT: Added more "What to do" thanks to Goettsch, and other game testers.
EDIT 2: Added icon.
Update: 1.0.1: Fixed debug. (Where the player gets 300 points by clicking a pac-man.)

Hm, alright. So far 2 testers have played the game. One of them got used to it and won easy, but in the beginning, it is really hard for both testers to get a good score. I wonder if anyone has any feedback on how the bombs should go in the cannon. If using the cursor, like now, the knockback could be kind of random. (Try knocking the bomb, sometimes it goes right, but somtimes, it goes to any other direction instead of what you want.) How do you all think this could be improved?
P.S: How do we put a game screenshot in the topics page?
(Might reply tomorrow, really late. xP)

Well, I may have joined the forums at 2011, but I've used gE since 2010, though I never cared what this was about until joining the forums. xD

So you've only used it for three years.

Yeah, but at least I have been with gE, active or not, for 4 years. xD

I'm now downloading this. You can expect some feedback from me within a few days. :)

EDIT:
Umm.. I ran into first problem/nuisance..
Because the file is an exe, Google Chrome blocked it.
The file was downloaded, but it wasn't confirmed, and thus it's name was something random with the extension crdownload.
I changed the extension to exe and was able to open it up. But that's not something everyone would first do, and the fact that
Chrome blocks your game doesn't give a trustworthy image of your game to anyone downloading it. I recommend you to get winRAR and to just zip the game file, that
way Chrome won't block it. :)
