Okay here are my ideas let me know witch ones you like and witch ones you dont. feel free to add your own ideas into mine.

-Skill system-

Skills:

• Mining
Mining allows you to mine different materials and wield pickaxes but you also have to have strength to wield them, also trains strength.

• Wood cutting
Wood cutting allows you cut different kinds of trees and weld different kinds of axes but you also have to have strength to wield them, also trains strength.

• Farming
Farming allows you to grow food the higher the skill the faster they grow and the higher you can sell them for.

• Building
Building allows you to place different kinds of boxes. The higher the level the more hp the boxes will have.

• Fishing
Fishing allows you to catch different kinds of fish the higher the level the faster you catch fish.

• Blacksmithing
Blacksmithing allows you to make items that are made mostly out of metal, also trains strength.

• Wood working
Wood working allows you to make items mostly made out of wood, also trains strength.

• Archery
Archery lets you wield ranged weapons but some ranged weapons need you to have strength to wield them also trains strength.

• Swordsmanship
Swordsmanship allows you to wield swords but you also have to have strength to wield them, also trains strength.

• Strength
Strength allows you to wield different kinds of weapons, deal more damage and mine and cut wood faster.

• Agility
Agility allows you to run and walk faster and jump higher.

• Stamina
Stamina allows you to run and do more damage, when your stamina meter is low your damage is low, when you stamina meter is high your damage is high.

• Cooking
Cooking lets you cook different kinds of items the higher the level the less likely you are to burn stuff and the higher you can sell cooked items for.

• Defense
Defense allows you to wear different kinds of armor but you also have to have strength to wear them.

• Sailing
Sailing allows you to sail faster also allows you to build different kinds of boats.

• Hunting
Hunting allows you to get more meat from monsters you kill.

Experience:

Experience is gained by practicing the skill (ex. To gain mining experience you have to mine stuff to gain wood cutting experience you have to cut wood, and so on.) you can gain experience in quest, and you can gain experience by paying a tutor to teach you.

Levels:

To level up you have to have a set amount of experience.
-Towns-

Town setup:

A town is randomly generated like any other map and it contains NPC'S s, tutors, blacksmiths, wood crafters, and general stores.

NPC’S:

NPC’S have quest for you to do, and sometimes they just talk.

Tutors:

Tutors teach you in certain skills, and how to use certain weapons. But they cost a lot of money.

Blacksmiths:

Blacksmiths can make items for you. But it cost gold, it is cheaper if you tell the black smith to use the resources you mined or cut yourself. Or you can train you blacksmithing skill. But you will need an anvil and a hammer you can use the black smiths anvil but it will cost gold, or you can buy or smith your own.

Wood crafters:

Same as blacksmiths.

General stores:

You can sell and buy stuff here.

Amazing. I like them all. It sounds like we will have very very huge amount of variables. :P

Also sailing is a bit strange to me. If we will have sailing in game, that means we must do islands and water.
That could be a bit problematic because of huge amount of tiles.
(By the way, I will make new times now)

if we use my way of making an infinite map it should work fine with no lag.

also maybe we should make a text file for all the variables so that we know what the are for.

ok, inventory looks good but there are the following issues....

A. it wobbles, ALOT.
B. the right click -1 from the value, instead of taking half of whats there.
C. when you right click a lot it goes into minus figures

otherwise it works ok, when you have more than 1 of an item it would be nice to be able to move them seperately, instead of as a group :P
--> For my help, i ask for a simple +1 if it helps! ^-^
--> I dont code, I type art which you dont understand.
--> I keep winning the 3D model challenge at college, teacher says: "you keep winning im not giving you prizes".

i can probably fix A but what do you mean by B? you mean if i have 30 sticks when i right click you want only 15 there? i can probably fix C also.

so are we getting rid of crafting?

--->ARE WE GETTING RID OF CRAFTING??????<--- i have asked thee times and still haven't gotten an answer. so i used caps to get your attention =P. please READ my post.

anyway here is the inventory again i fixed all problems. tell me if you want it tweaked in any other way.
and how are the new tiles coming along? and the new player? i have had a new idea that we could also do real time night and day and have certain events happen on certain dates and times. please tell me what you think about that.

you can now separate items. and re stack them. to separate them you have to double click on the selected item then click on an empty spot. to re stack its just like switching items.

If you ever played Everquest2 then you shouuld try its day and night length. I believe it is for every real second, three seconds in game pass. So in 8 hours, a day in the game will pass, and say you do 12 hours for day, and 12 hours for night. That gives four hours in real time for each period. Three days in a real day, three days and nights in a real day.
