saving game and hiscore

It would be really cool if someone could tell me how i can save my progress on my game and how to make a hiscores table eg at the end of the game you type in your name and it will put you on a hiscore table Thx

For your first question, it depends how your game works. It might be simply saving a variable that stores what level you're up to, or it may involve soring a bunch of other information, such as position, health, items etc.
