Yeah, but it wont do 3d (i dont think)as it will just accelerate the 2d!

Thats fine. GE is about cross platform 2D games. Makslane has a focus on a niche market, and there are lots of 3D game making applications out there.

Right. I just wouldn't want anyone to be under the misconception that opengl can be put into GE by end users. i don't even think the new editor would allow this.

And opengl is not hard to learn or use, but integrating it into a complex system is what's hard.

I just thought it would be good to have OpenGL because you could use parralax scrolling easy, and more people would buy GE if it had it......
