"You can also select a location for your game files by using the Select file button that is located in the Save Game panel."
I don't see any of those select file button.

I am not complaining, I just want to help.

That's because you aren't using Linux. I believe both mac and windows use their os' built in window/save gui. Sadly Linux still has the gE's built in system where you have to press that button.

Learned something here.

When I first used GE, I was not sure where to look to get started. So I started with the tutorials section in the website. The moon defender was not fun at all. Later I found help section. That is much nicer to read.

I would propose to add a line in the tutorial section, right before everything, in BIG,like: "We suggest to read the manual we prepared for you before doing those tutorials .. with the link".

I am just trying to make it more accessible to new users.

Thanks.

The documentation on the site used to be what users used to learn, but a lot of people said it wasn't accessible enough. There is however already a link to the documentation from the main site's help page.
