Free Music!

Postby Rawr » Mon Oct 12, 2009 6:56 am

Alright, I'm arranging some music for everyone. They're in .WAV format.
They are all loopable, to an extent.
I currently have:

Army March
It's a song for an army or legion, some good snare and horn in there.

Army March.zip
(3.68 MiB) Downloaded 222 times

Desert Theme
It's a theme with some scorching guitar and a sandy beat.

Desert Theme.zip
(5.62 MiB) Downloaded 220 times

Fat Darkness
It's a strange composure that has some fatty tuba, and a mysterious beat.

Fat Darkness.zip
(6.86 MiB) Downloaded 182 times

Forest Town
A foresty, friendly song with numerous sounds and a nice tune. Kind of cute, actually.

Forest Town.zip
(4.78 MiB) Downloaded 219 times

Dark Portal
A sad, mysterious, strange theme with reverse effects and a deep beat. Reminds me of going through a dark portal.

Dark Portal.zip
(11.23 MiB) Downloaded 215 times

Forest Pool
A relaxing song with some birds and piano. Kind of jungle-oriented.

Forest Pool.zip
(5.86 MiB) Downloaded 196 times

Granite Manor
A song that seems curious and perky. Lots of strings, woodwinds, pretty orchestrated.

Granite Manor.zip
(16.57 MiB) Downloaded 204 times

You can download and use at will, just credit me :3
Vote if you want.
Feedback is appreciated.

Lol, I know.
I just threw them together, and there were lots that didn't work out. Dark Portal only scraped by, and it wasn't THAT terrible, so I decided to post it anyway.
Thanks for the feedback! :3

I don't think wav is the worst music file. It is certainly one of the smallest, save for OGG, but wav isn't that much worse than MP3 of anything. :3

lol, would you rather I posted them in OGG?
Frankly, I'm too lazy to do that anyway.
WAV is fine. :3

Ah! You paste your music together using premade loops? I used to do that XD
I now compose music and... ya know prefer to make everything myself.
But yea, nice choices.

Seriously though, you don't have to be less lazy just to choose a different option in the menu.
The "export to .ogg" option is just below the .wav/.mp3.
4.8 MB with a lenght of 30 seconds is very big.
Currently I'm using a soundtrack in my game which is about 3 minutes long and only takes 2-3 MB. (It's ogg).
Ogg is one of the most commonly used music formats in the gaming world. And for good reason.
Have a good one!

Hey! Sometimes I mess around with the midi files.
And this way is much faster, just for some quick tunes if anyone needs them.
Also, I would have to navigate my mess of files and go open the project and THEN export it and then re-upload it.
I'm too lazy to do all that. And I know how to export in OGG! :3
I'm glad you like it.
