Do you create sloped road with Tiles?

Postby ggesterGamePro99 » Thu Apr 26, 2012 11:37 pm

My game is like mario , a fighting game martial arts based and fantasy based too. There's a lot of things going on.

Part of it is driving cars. and i want to create slope roads.

Do i use the tiles actors for this?

For the road with gray and a yellow line, i know i should create a graphic to be a straight road tire.. and then also do the same thing for the slope part?

and then for the ground under the road, same thing right?

If anyone can give me any tips, thanks.
I"m attaching a picture i made that illustrates what i want to do

I drew the kind of tiles i think i would need to make(in my 3d graphics program)for the road. am i correct?

If you want to use tiles you can. That is something you personally would decide. You don't however have to rotate the tiles, as you can use sloped tiles. I attached an image showing a basic tile set.

Search the resources section on the forum. There aren't that many free tiles to use on gE, and the ones that are there aren't the best of quality.
