anyone know good convertion software (pref for free)

i would like to film objects around my neibourhood than convert them(mpg) to gifs and ad them into the game but most programs cost $30+ and never give you the proper trial functions (most will not even let you save)

beats trying to learn how to draw...

dont use gifs for that. Use something like png.

Gimp has an animation package that will reduce a clip to frames. you can then save the frames as images. http://www.gimp.org/ Look at this page for GAP - Gimp Animation Package. You'll need GIMP for your system(free) and then that as well(also free)
