I have to refresh two times after this message, so I can write a reply normally.

That is strange.
Had you been able to open it up before? Or did it happen all of a sudden?

At some point I'll post a fresh updated version. But first I'll have to work out all the bugs.

I was finally able to play this game, and it is very good!
Great work, dude! :)

However, my Avira AntiVirus gave a malware warning about the game.
I had to shut antivir off for being able to play it.
But I know that your game is harmless, that same happened to me with Hblade's Chaos of the Skies -game. :P

Yes finally! After all that trouble!
I have no idea why people are getting these Avira messages. I even scanned the .exe with Vipre, and that didn't come up with any malware. (I didn't get any message form Hblade's Sonic game either.) Anyway, I'm glad you got it working.

Has anyone got up to world two? (The blue place in the screenshots.) If not, I can give a walkthrough, or post a new version that has better access to the next level. If there is enough interest, I can do this. (I'd rather not repost it again though) This was a school "elective" project believe it or not, There are a few people I want to show this to, and I'd like to leave it "as-is".

I have only worked out half of the bugs on Sky's bug-list on level one. I'm probably not going to be in the mood to do it all over again to the other .ged until a while :p This is the major downside to working with multiple levels as .ged's. There is a lesson to be learned in everything - Get your game working Completely before adding more levels!

With that being said, this project will be put aside for a while after that, I will probably have to completely erase the game and start over if I want to get this game where I want it to. I have already started other things, and my free time will be spent working with lcl on his project. I do want to revisit this game in the future though, along with other ideas I've come up with through the years. With that being said, I'll want to show you guys some of my older work (I'll be super embarrassed at the horrible code work :P) as well as some of my new ideas! (With more than likely better scripting  )

I've been using Ge for a while now, but since I've been on the forums, my knowledge of programming has increased twofold! You guys are awesome! Someday, I hope to gain enough knowledge to write tutorials of my own!

This is by far the best program for 2D game development I've ever gotten my hands on! (And it's open-source!) Looking forward to the next GE version with rotation!

nice banta start! but robot should move a little faster- it feels like you are stuck at a snails pace, and when not much else is happening it can really kill the fun factor.
a few bugs- button inputs can go nuts, especially in panic situations and you button bash- space bar began to trigger the up action.
when i finally got killed (not by intent) i got flung back to the very start, was invisible and unplayable. (this might have been karma for accidentally blowing up my robot colleague)

Thanks! I did make an update, but I haven't been able to post it due to the forum's upload script not working. I think the lag was fixed, but it's hard to tell.
Yes, the input is not too friendly at times, I think the only way to fix this is to start over with new key down events (Or Getkeystate). I wish I knew why the screen gets bounced back to start. You said this happened when the red guy blew up? Wait, did you get the red flag before you blew up? If you didn't, then the red guy didn't have any "reload" coordinates and probably got bounced back to x0 & y0, which is in the middle of nowhere.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, I'm glad people are still playing this! After the upload script cooperates (or I find a legitimate file hosting service), and I upload the update, I'm going to get busy with some new projects -With hopefully less bugs. I already got some started right now!
