Text cant seem to format?

Postby scythe » Fri Apr 13, 2007 4:32 pm

I have problem getting my Text to display correctly, I have tried different fonts etc, will a bitmap font work, is it even possible to do this in GE?

I want this, but with the numbers in neat columns, not all messy.

Roger 11 16 22 47
Jane 9 12 31 52
Blah 10 7 19 26

Any idea's? Thanks,

True Type Fonts have a variable spacement between the letters.
You can use a image font file instead ttf files.

Thanks makslane, I tried the bitmap font, it works well, except one problem, if i paste my txt from my notepad txt it comes out scrambled no matter what I do to re edit it, when viewed in Game Mode its scrambled. I have to type in everything from scratch into the GE Text Editor or it wont work, any ideas? as i dont want to type it all the txt again, i still have to format some of it already anyway, although I could get my gf to type it up ;)

Thanks,

It also appears to be doing it when i enter the text manually now, so i dont think it is the text file after all. I can type the ascii set out like [SPACE]!"#$%&'()*+, - etc and it looks fine, but other larger amounts of text turn to crap? i'll look into it further, thanks.
