Automatic Clone or Instancing? =^.^=

Postby NyahKitty » Sun Jul 31, 2005 12:09 am

I've manually cloned a line of actors.

With the click of one actor, those clones are destroyed.

I wish to restore those clones with the click of another actor.

Would I set this up in the interface or is this a matter for scripting? How would I do this.

Insted of destroying your clone you could just change the visibely state to desable, then when you click on the actor that makes the clones apear you change the visibely state to enabled.

This may not what your looking for.

Hmmm...

I've already setup so within the current clone set to die on impact with falling objects. So I suppose if I set collision to trigger transparency and disable event (collisions), that might work.

I already set up something like 21 create actor responses when the start button is clicked (see the thread for The Evil Blue Meanies for a download link). It took a while. Your suggestion sounds a bit more sane.
I think I'll try it on the next go around.

Thanks.

Well, you can move as much as you want, but as long as you have internet access, we'll be here! (although we're not exactly physicaly interacting, so it's not quite as good as REALLY being there...)

I still feel bad for anyone lonely, especially since I find myself in that place a lot.
