My current Quest

Postby Hblade » Fri Oct 14, 2011 1:51 am

I am questing right now to make the perfect system for a game. Meaning, I'm creating up and down, new commands / #defines to make things a whole lot easier and shorter to do and SO FAR it's working! :D Awesomely too. But the only thing I have to figure out, is perfect collision xD Everything else so far is down pact till I run accross something else.

Currently I'm still using Pixel based collision ^^

I want to one day create a game as good as SNES styled games.

doesn't Game have a perfect collision example if I am correct.
Thanks for your work by the way with GE in both showing it off and making sure it's a good forum here. +1. :D

Thanks man ^^

Well, what I mean is, making collision game-type perfect, meaning able to go into the ground. There are ways of doing this, however this also causes massive errors when colliding with the edge of a cliff. If you use a square collision actor, you can prettymuch kiss the walls good bye xD The player will bounce for some odd reason (As you can see in my "How to make a game" tutorial made on youtube)

Thanks for the + ^^ I'm +1n'n you for staying with GE for over a year :D

Well, if somethings a passion then it kind of is hard to quit. Even when I tried to take a break I failed, for in a day I'd come back. :P
