Where is the center of a picture?

Postby Joat_Mone » Sun Jan 01, 2006 2:31 am

I have a character from one of the chipsets of RPGMaker. I know it is 16x32 (or 96x32 for a walk cycle of four images), and the images are centered. However, when I bring them into GameEditor and set it up for the character, the images jump around when I am changing direction. How do I set the center or "hot spot" for the character?

Yeah, I have a similar issue. When I have to indicate the position of an actor, that is, let's say a horse, how do I calculate the right position. Of course I place it on the voew stage and then can pass the mouse over it and see above the x y values, but where exactly is the point on the picture that counts as "position? The center of it?
