Importance of Forum SCORES

please what is the importance of this forum scores? :?:
If it is important why can't you add just 1 to my "0" score :cry: :cry: :cry:

You used to be able to get a free license for GE Pro if you hit 30 points, but that no longer applies, now that GE is open source.
Now it's just a way to measure helpfulness and all that.
